wonderings of a desparate mind

a collection of songs and poetry.

life makes me think of death makes me think of salvation makes me think of you

If you want to inspire me, I’m waiting
Your mind is like Stonehenge
A heartbeat muted by the weight of space

When the earth slows down, we can jump off
Like two foreigners plunging into a love song

You already left your fingerprint smudged
Across the handle of my life
Names like impressions in the sand
A silhouette frozen on the edge of a placid sea

That line on the wall doesn’t do you justice
Jesus Christ himself might fall to his knees and cry
None could shadow your humanity

If you want to taste true inspiration, stop waiting
your mind is free already
weighty in its weightlessness
waiting for you to go into freefall ~

waiting for some 'other' doesn't do you justice.
